|576 calories per cup|
Prowl™ is an all natural cat food made with free range chicken, eggs and produce like sweet potatoes, spinach and cranberries. It is almost 70% meat, and is a natural human grade cat food that’s ideal for adult cats, particularly those with food sensitivities to grains and gluten.
It’s our original cat food recipe, and some of our very first customers still think it’s one of the best cat foods available! Prowl is a high-moisture dehydrated cat food, which can be used in place of homemade or canned cat food diets.

Written by Jessica | 10/17/12Growing up in a trailer, I must admit I used to get whatever was on sale for my kitties. Even though I was going to college and only had part time jobs, I was first swayed to spend more on cat food because my cat at the time had all black whiskers and one went white, a distressing sign of her aging. I asked around (yes, asked this was the ninties!) about what was a good choice. Thinking pricier was better I heard the response that one vet nickname for some stuff was hills science death!!! I also heard some stories that raw diet was simply the best, but I didnt have the means or knowledge at the time to go through with this. I ended up putting her on an IAMS diet and her white whisker went away! This seemed seemed like evidence it was good for her. It offered me an affordable alternative at the time and my conscious was eased a bit that I was getting the best for what I could afford. This remained my brand for years. A few years ago I finally settled into a decent paying job and was reading material about how unprocessed food was the best diet or people. And so, of course, why not for our pets as well?I was still nervous about making my own cat food recipe and missing out on some important nutrient. I first learned of The Honest Kitchen through a co-worker. What a great concept! Here I didnt have to make a bunch of raw diet and store it in the freezer or worry I was missing a key ingredient in my kittys diet! Although getting Prowl is something I need to budget for, I think its well worth it for my cats health(his hair is so sleek and soft), the longevity of his life, and reduced vet visits. I think in the future Ill splurge and let him try some Grace as well. Thank you for making such a great product that enables me to feed my loved pet a healthy diet.
