Written by Shannon | 10/7/12I just switched my two pits to this food a few days ago. The one is allergic to everything I've tried to feed her!! I've been considering switching to raw bit was afraid of messing it up. My vet is the one who told me about this food and now my dogs beg for it. When they see me get their bowls out they start crying and dancing around till I give it to them. then they will check each others bowls and make sure they clean the inside and outside of their bowl and lick the floor just in case one dropped some lol. I love it that they finally love their food and so far the one is doing good. Fingers crossed this works for her because I'm out of options after this haha. thanks HK
Written by Thunder | 8/28/12Based on some reviews saying their dogs didnt like Honest Kitchen I got hold of some samples and made an experiment. I let my three dogs pick the flavor they liked, and each picked a different flavor than they one I offered in their bowl. Each dog picked a different flavor, but each dog LOVED the Honest Kitchen food. I have put a video of my Standard Poodle So-v choosing her favorite on my FB page Thunder Run K9. Check it out of you arent sure about whether your dog will like it. And ask your dealer for a sample, it may be that your dog is attracted to a different smell or taste. But raw is the way to go, and this is a raw that I can take on K9 search and rescue missions and just add water! Its perfect. As a K9 handler my SAR pack is full enough.
I also note that the three flavors are different when hydrated. I visually preferred Keen because when hydrated it looks like thick oatmeal with large bits of meat. Both Love and Thrive looked like dark green smoothie, but the dogs still liked them.

We suggest dividing daily amount into two servings, one in the AM and one in the PM. Our foods must be hydrated with water before serving, but you can add slightly more or less water than we suggest, according to your pet's taste. Refrigerate or discard any leftovers.
